Abstract The purpose of the present law is regulations of relationship associated with activity of non-governmental non-profit organizations, as well as international non-governmental non-profit organizations, representative offices and affiliates of foreign non-governmental non-profit organizations in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Nonstate non-profit organization denotes self-governing institution established by natural and (or) legal entities on voluntary basis that does not pursue the purpose to derive income (profit) as the main task of its activity and does not distribute derived income (profit) between its participants (members). Non-governmental non-profit organization is established for the purpose of protection of rights and legal interests of natural and legal entities, other democratic values, achievement of social, cultural and educational purposes, satisfaction of intellectual and other nonmaterial needs, implementation of charity work as well as for other socially useful purposes. The Law consists of 6 Sections that contain 37 articles. Section 1 (arts. 1-5) lays down general provisions. Section 2 (arts. 6-14) establishes legal status of non-governmanetal non-profit organization, its rights and duties. Section 3 (arts. 15-20) establishes the procedure for the establishment of non-governmental non-profit organization. Section 4 (arts. 21-27) establishes the procedure for the state registration of nonstate non-profit organization. Section 5 (arts. 28-32) establishes economic grounds of activity of non-governmental non-profit organization. Section 6 (arts. 33-37) lays down conclusive provisions. Full text English
