Abstract This Law is composed of 20 articles. Terms and definitions are given in article 1. Article 2 provides for the establishment of the Plant Sanitary Control Department with the objective to inspect on plants and to define the geographic distribution of diseases and epidemics. Article 3 deals with matters related to the inspection on farms, and agricultural instruments and equipment. It is obligatory to inform the Department about diseases and epidemics (art. 4).
