Abstract This Law regulates legal and organizational relations in the sphere of conformity assessment of objects to technical regulations and standards, and ensure implementation of state policy related to conformity assessment. The Act consists of 5 Sections divided into 33 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) state regulation and management in the sphere of conformity assessment; (3) accreditation; (4) certification; and (5) conclusive provisions. The purpose of conformity assessment shall be to ensure protection of public health and environment and ensuring conformity of national and international certification procedures (Art. 3). Conformity assessment shall regard produce, processing, storage, transportation, treatment and recycling of waste and nature management (Art. 4). Conformity assessment shall be classified as: (a) control; (b) accreditation; (c) certification; and (d) testing (Art. 6). Certification shall be mandatory (Art. 20) and voluntary (Art. 22).
