Abstract

This Law, consisting of 7 articles, provides for the use of returnable packaging for the transport and commercialization of fruits and vegetables with proper sanitation in the supply centers of the State of Rio de Janeiro. It establishes that plastic containers are defined as those having a defined width, height and depth used for packing, transporting and marketing, used routinely between producers, suppliers and consumers, indicated for manual or mechanized operation, with standardized characteristics that allow their reuse. The returnable plastic packaging, referred to in this Law, must be sanitized, and the supervisory bodies have the responsibility to check compliance with current regulations.
