Abstract This Law, consisting of 6 Chapters, establishes the State Tourism Sustainable Policy and creates Areas of Special Touristic Interest (AEIT). The Policy aims at the harmonization of tourism exploitation with State coastal preservation trough the following: ensuring the local population's quality of life; promoting the sustainable tourism and the economic valorization of the existing natural and cultural resources; preserving the biological environment keeping its relevant characteristics; promoting the valorization of traditional culture; strengthen the productive chain of tourism; managing the land use planning and land occupation in potentially touristic areas; promoting and control private investment; promoting the adoption of sustainable technological practices by touristic infrastructures.
