This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 30 articles and divided into four Chapters, establishes the State Policy for Water Resources and creates the Integrated System for Water Resources Management (SIGERH) within the State of Rio Grande do Norte. This Policy aims at: planning, developing and managing, in an integrated, decentralized and participatory way, the multiple use, control, conservation, protection and preservation of water resources; guaranteeing that water are controlled and used through satisfying quality and quantity standards for their users and for future generations.
