This Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Law regulates legal protection of plant varieties, setting forth legal grounds for submittal and protection of plant breeders. It shall be applicable to plant varieties, determined and listed by the authorized institution within at maximum 10 years since entry into force of this Law. Authorized public institution shall be responsible for keeping Register of plant varieties and granting access thereto, expert opinion related to applications, and issuance of certification in case of conformity of plant variety to the established requirements. The following criteria shall be set forth for breeders in relation to new plant varieties: (a) newness; (b) distinguishability; (c) homogeneity; and (d) stability.
