Abstract This Law, consisting of 22 articles, creates the Family Farming Development Fund (FEDAF) and other financial incentives, which will be regulated by the State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Land Regulation (SEAGRI). It aims at giving financial support to strengthening the family agriculture, implementing land activities and other actions for the development of the sustainable rural sector. Its objectives are to: contribute for accelerating and rationalizing activities related to agriculture, land reform, livestock, aquaculture and fisheries, agro-industry and other non-agricultural rural activities in order to improve the family agriculture.
