Abstract This Law, consisting of 7 articles, provides for industrial, artisanal and sanitary inspection on animal products within the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Is established the obligation of prior control of industrial, artisanal and sanitary sectors of all edible and non-edible animal products, including with added vegetable products, which are prepared, processed, handled, treated, packaged or deposited within the territory of the State, or transiting through it. In addition, it specifies that are subject to particular inspection: animals destined to slaughtering, their products, by-products and raw materials; fish and their derivatives; milk and its derivatives; egg and its derivatives; honey bee and its derivatives.
