Abstract The document consists of 31 articles. The present Law regulates relations originating from turnover of firearms on the national territory is aimed at environmental protection and conservation of natural resources. The provisions of the present Law are applicable also to relations originating from turnover of ammunition. The Law classifies the firearms in three categories: a. fighting firearms; b. service firearms; c. civic firearms. Civic firearms are weapons used by physical personas for sporting and hunting purposes. Physical persons are authorized to have in ownership civic firearms. State cadastre of service and civilian firearms shall be kept by the Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Certification subordinated to the Council of Ministers, it is considered official register containing systematic data on service and civilian firearms authorized for turnover on the national territory.
