Abstract

Consumer cooperation is social and economic activity of the organizations uniting on voluntary basis shareholders (citizens, collective farms, state agricultural enterprises, peasant farms and other enterprises and organizations) for the purpose of more complete satisfaction of the consumers in produce and service. The main tasks of consumer cooperation are the development of public catering and feeding, purchase of agricultural commodities and raw materials form collective, peasant, rented and subsidiary small-holding agricultural enterprises. Consumer society is the main link in the system of consumer cooperation. Its activity is based upon the principle of voluntariness. The Law consists of 5 Sections composed of 22 articles. Section 1 (arts. 1-6) lays down general provisions. Section 2 (arts. 7-9) regards the relations between the state and the consumer cooperation. Section 3 (arts. 10-13) regards property of consumer cooperatives and its legal protection. Section 4 (arts. 14-21) establishes the economic basis for the functioning of consumer cooperation. Section 5 (article 22) regards personnel training for consumer cooperation.
