Abstract This Law regulates relations concerning activity in outer space. The Act consists of 7 Sections divided into 37 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) state regulation and control in the sphere of activity in outer space; (3) realization of activity in outer space; (4) infrastructure and equipment; (5) safety of activity in outer space; (6) legal status and social protection of astronauts; and (7) conclusive provisions. Activity in outer space includes scientific research for ecological and information purposes and distant zoning of the Earth. Among the basic principles of carrying out activity in outer space shall be compliance with ecological requirements and liability and compensation for environmental damages.
