Abstract

This Law regulates the activities in the field of gas such as manufacture, processing, transportation, storage, distribution, sale and use of all kinds of gases, including natural gas, according to the main principles of Energy Law. This Law consists of VII chapters that contain 24 articles. This Law sets out provisions on (i) requirements for building, construction and operation of consumers’ and industrial installations, (ii) manufacture and processing of gas and gas containers, (iii) the rights and duties of gas experts, (iv) gas storage, (v) contracts on energy, transportation, distribution and gas storage, (vi) underground gas storage, (vii) installation works in public areas and in private properties, (viii) mapping of gas installations, (ix) environmental protection, environmental safety and protection of human health, (x) protected areas and protective measures, (xi) state control, compensation and penalties, (xii) transitional provisions and international rights. This Law underlines that real and legal persons carrying out activities in the field of gas have obligations to provide safety, environmental protection and protection of human health.
