Abstract This Law, consisting of 203 articles divided into seven Chapters, approves the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA). The ECA applies to children and adolescents residing in the national territory. The ECA aims to promote and protect the rights inherent to children and adolescents, guaranteeing their integral development and the construction of their full personal and citizen autonomy, in accordance with the established and attributed by the Constitution, by the international treaties that Cape Verde is a party and by the other legislation of the Republic. Section XI specifies Child rights to protection at work, such as: Minimum age of admission to work; Child worker's rights; Registration, work and vacation; Working contract of the adolescent; Child household or agri-livestock tasks, etc. Full text English Website www.legis-palop.org
