This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 5 Chapters, creates the Economic Ecological Zoning of the State of Rio de Janeiro (ZEE/RJ) and regulates agro-forestry activities. ZEE/RJ is an Environmental State Policy Tool, which objectives are to manage plans, programmes, activities and decisions of public and private sectors which are engaged in using natural resources (including silvo-pastoralism activities), in view of the protection of the local ecosystem. It regulates also planning and implementation of public policies and concessions of natural resources use.
