Abstract This Law, consisting of 15 articles, provides for the primary activity in the State of Amazonas. It establishes that a rural producer is a natural or legal person engaged in the following activities: agriculture; livestock, apiculture, poultry, rabbit, sheep, goat, and swine breeding, sericulture, aquaculture and other forms of breeding; extraction and plant exploitation, except for wood extraction; animal exploitation, including aquatic animal extractivism (ornamental fishing); and artisanal fisheries.
