Section I deals with the following matters: terms and definitions; concept of ships; registration of ships; ship’s documents; and, control of ships. Section II provides for real rights on ships in particular: construction of ships; joint and common property; concession rights and privileges on ships; and, sea pawn. Section III addresses the preventive, precautionary and executive sequestration of ships. Section IV pertains to marine navigation persons in particular: owners and suppliers of equipment; captains; sailors and crew; marine contracts; and, marine contractors and deputies and representatives. Section V pertains to the exploitation and investment of ships especially: rent contracts of ships; marine navigation contracts; rent of equipped and unequipped ships; transportation of goods; transportation of persons; and, towing of ships. Section VII deals with marine risks especially: marine collision; aid, rescue and salvaging; and, joint marine damages.
