Abstract This Law establishes legislative basis for regulation of the national arrangements related to marking and standard information on energy consuming appliances and equipment destined for end users and, in particular, related to consumption of energy by the aforesaid appliances and equipment, and additional information related thereto. It regards domestic energy consuming appliances and equipment having direct or indirect impact on energy consumption. The scope of this Law shall be to inform the population on energy consumption by energy consuming appliances and equipment with a view of ensuring energy efficiency and consumer protection. Energy consuming appliances and equipment shall be classified by classes in accordance with the amount of energy consumption.
