This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 10 articles, establishes the State Policy to encourage the generation and use of photovoltaic solar energy within the State of Rondônia. The objectives of the State Policy are: increasing the use of photovoltaic solar energy, in urban and rural areas; increasing the participation of photovoltaic solar energy in the state's electric matrix, bringing greater energy security and diversification in serving the population and companies in the region; encouraging the self-production of electric energy by individual and legal entities, as well as public entities through a mini-generation system distributed from solar photovoltaic technology; stimulate, as a way to reduce the consumption of different energy sources, the implementation of photovoltaic solar energy system, ecologically correct, as well as investments in this area; encourage the generation and use of photovoltaic energy in remote areas located far from the electricity distribution network.
