Abstract This Law is composed of 16 articles. The Permanent Committee for Environment Protection is formed by the Minister of Public Health as President and 16 representatives of different ministries (art. 2). Article 3 defines competencies of the Committee which are: proposing general policy on environmental protection, coordination between different interested institutions, training of specialists in environmental protection, education and information on environment, representation of the Government at international and regional environmental organizations. The President of the Committee shall present a report on the Committee's activity every 3 months (art. 8). Articles 11 and 12 contain offences and penalties.
