Abstract This law ratifies the Convention on the Law of the Non-navigational Uses of International Watercourses, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 21 May 1997, pertaining to the uses, other than navigation, and to measures of protection, preservation and management related to all waters that cross international boundaries, including both surface and groundwater. The law, consisting of three articles (ratification, powers to the Minister of Environment and entry into force), adopts all the provisions connected therewith. In particular, article 2 confers to the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change the power to further provide for the implementation at a national level of the provisions of this Convention.
