Abstract This Law regulates relations originating in the process of registration, legal protection and use of trademarks. Trademark shall be considered any graphic design enabling to distinguish produce of one natural or legal person from another. Collective trademark shall be considered trademark used by association of producers. Certified trademark shall be considered trademark used for certification of certain characteristics of commodities. The Act consists of 9 Sections divided into 87 articles: (1) basic provisions; (2) material rights to trademarks; (3) registration of trademarks; (4) collective and certified trademarks; (5) public information; (6) guarantee of rights; (7) international registration of trademarks; (8) general provisions; and (9) conclusive and transitional provisions. The right to trademark shall be purchased and protected on the national territory through registration, international registration and acknowledgement as commonly known.
