This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 32 articles, establishes the environmental licensing requirements within the State of Amazonas. It specifies environmental standards and taxes to be paid in order to obtain an environmental licence, which will be issued by the Environmental Protection Institute of Amazonas (IPAAM). It applies for the following activities to be performed within the State: building, settlement, land extension, extraction, reform, rehabilitation, operation and performing potentially polluting activities, using natural resources, etc.
