Abstract This Law aims to guarantee the identity, quality and harmlessness of products of plant origin for the protection of consumers and public health within the State of Acre. In particular, this law will provide for the control of products of plant origin, involving any requirement that contributes to the guarantee of their identity, quality and harmlessness. Operators of products of plant origin will be obliged to comply with requirements for the identity, geographical indications, quality and safety of products of plant origin, at their own expense, with no right to compensation.
