Abstract

This Law authorizes the Government to approve the legal regime relating to the installation and operation of aquaculture establishments in marine waters, including transitional waters, and inland waters, in relation to the public water domain and the national marine zone. The legislative authorization is granted to the Government under specific terms and requirements, such as: establish the regime for the attribution of titles that enable, cumulatively, the private use of resources that integrate the public water domain and the national maritime space and the installation and exploitation establishments of aquaculture in marine waters and inland waters and related establishments in these parts of the national territory; establish that the related attribution of titles is carried out through a simple administrative procedure; establish that the maximum period of validity of the certificates to be issued is 25 years, extendable up to the maximum global limit of 50 years, etc.
