Abstract This Law establishes the State Fund for Animal Health in Rondônia (FESA-RO) and the tax for Animal Health Protection. It specifies requirements for the execution of necessary actions to eliminate, mitigate or control the focus of diseases with epidemic potential to produce serious sanitary, social and economic consequences and compromising the national or international trade, food safety or public health, through the implementation of required measures and restore the health condition in the shortest space of time; the execution of preventive actions for the health of herds included the surveillance of animal health, their products and by-products; the execution of investments in the necessary infrastructure to maintenance and improvement of farming defense; the indemnification of damage caused to third parties in the execution of related provisions, and in the execution of other actions for animal health defense.
