Abstract This Law, consisting of six Chapters and three Appendixes, regulates the guidance of horticulture development, establishment and operation of fruit, fruit production and capitalization, based on scientific substantiation and supported the extension of technical progress, under the common organization of the market in fruit. The specialized body of the central public administration in this sector and entitled to carry out horticulture development strategies, is the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Environment. The strategic objectives of development of fruit growing are: a) specialization of production of fruit; b) development centres and pools traditionally working in this sector, to ensure quality products with geographical designation of origin for fruit originating trees, bushes and strawberries grown in Romania. The Law is divided as follows: Fruit-growing (Chap. II); Recovery fruit (Chap. III); Inspection and quality control of fruit and fruit products from (Chap. IV); Penalties (Chap. V); and Final Provisions (Chap. VI). Appendixes list tree species and areas.
