Abstract The provisions of the present law determine the supply of electronic communications services and relevant facilities within the national territory, incorporating simultaneously into the Greek legislative framework certain EU Directives related thereto. Among other provisions, article 31 sets forth regulations with regard to the installation of antennas. The provisions of this article shall apply for the installation of antennas for which an authorization is required according to point A, paragraph 2, article 1 of Law No. 2801/2000. The National Committee of Atomic Energy has the obligation to perform inspections and checks so as to ensure that the limits of secure exposure to electromagnetic radiation are observed. In the event of exceedance of the allowed limit values of emitted electromagnetic radiation, the sanctions provided for in Ministerial Decree No. 53571/3839 of 6.9.2000 shall apply.
