Abstract This Law, consisting of 11 articles, establishes the Itinerant State Health Programme within the State of Acre, being regulated by the State Health Secretariat (SESACRE), with the cooperation of the Municipalities and Union. This Programme is intended to function through health actions developed to the general population from a perspective of holistic and multidisciplinary attention performing actions of prevention, promotion, treatment and recovery of health. The Itinerant State Health Programme consists in offering specialized medical care and health actions to rural populations living in remote areas of the State, as well as in all municipalities, isolated communities that are difficult to reach and places with insufficient assistance, called "care gaps".
