Abstract This Law, consisting of 9 articles, establishes the State Policy for collection, storage and use of rainwater within the State of Tocantins. It regulates the rainwater sector aiming at the following objectives: I - to promote - a) the conservation and rational use of water; b) sustainability in the use of water resources, ensuring the current and future generations the necessary water availability; c) adequate and increasing management of the volume of rainwater served; d) economic incentives to capture, store and use rainwater; II - to stimulate the direct direct reuse of the rainwater.
