Abstract

This Law prohibits the marketing of gill-net fishing materials to persons who are not licensed. It specifies such prohibition to commercialize, throughout the State of Tocantins, fishing materials to persons who are not properly licensed under federal legislation. The commercial establishment may only market fisheries material to fisher folks holding a professional licence. Control on sales will be made through the licence number. It is the duty of the establishments that commercialize fishing nets to record in book the amount of fishing nets existing in the stock and the realized sales. Sanctions applicable to establishments are prescribed for illegal activities.
