The Law shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This law ratifies the Final Act of the Conference of plenipotentiaries regarding the Rotterdam Convention on the prior informed consent procedure for certain hazardous chemicals and pesticides in international trade and the Annexes (I, II and III) attached thereto (article 1). Article 2 establishes the designated competent authorities for the implementation of the provisions of the Conference, which shall be a) for pesticides, the Department of Agricultural Plant Protection Products under the Directorate of Plant Protection, Ministry of Agriculture and b) for hazardous chemicals, the Department of Environment, under the Supreme Chemical Council of the State. Article 3 establishes the entry into force of this law.
