This Law enters into force on 16 November 2005.
Abstract

The aims of this Law are to define public water, specify water rights and define requirements for digging licences. The present Law is composed of 11 Chapters. Chapter I deals with terms and definitions. Chapter II provides for the public waters. Chapters III and IV pertain to the confirmation or liquidation of acquired water rights. Chapter V addresses Water Governmental Nets. Chapter VI provides for well digging licences and pumping equipment. Chapter VII contains offences and penalties. Chapter VIII relates to water officers. Chapter IX deals with water well drilling. Chapter X pertains to water users associations. Chapter XI contains general provisions.
