Abstract The aims of this Law are to define public water, specify water rights and define requirements for digging licences. The present Law is composed of 11 Chapters. Chapter I deals with terms and definitions. Chapter II provides for the public waters. Chapters III and IV pertain to the confirmation or liquidation of acquired water rights. Chapter V addresses Water Governmental Nets. Chapter VI provides for well digging licences and pumping equipment. Chapter VII contains offences and penalties. Chapter VIII relates to water officers.
