The Law prohibits storage, transportation, sales and purchasing of all types of cotton seeds where pure cotton will be sowed. The Ministry of Agriculture is authorized to establish or lease ginning facilities. Private ginning facilities are also allowed but the owners are obliged to sell their products to the Ministry of Agriculture on current prices. Sales and purchasing of cotton seeds that are subject to this Law will be made on bargaining basis. The Law has penal provisions for any possible violation of the Law. Full text English
