Abstract This Law regulates relations originating from the use of trademarks, service marks and names of the places of origin of commodities. Place of origin of commodities shall be recognized name of country, locality or other geographic object used for designation of commodities which properties shall have predominant characteristics of the given geographic object in accordance with environmental conditions or combination of environmental conditions and other factors. Name of the place of origin shall be registered by one or more legal and natural persons located within geographic area used for designation of commodities. The person who has registered name of the place of origin shall have the right to use it. The use of the name of the place of origin can be granted to other legal and natural persons located within the same geographic area and manufacturing commodities with the same particular properties.
