Abstract This Law, consisting of 5 articles, establishes the Economic Ecological Zoning of the State of Tocantins. It defines zones and respective sub-zones of public and private State territorial use planning. The EEZ establishes the following zones and sub-zones: I - Zone A, Areas for human settlements; II - Zone B, Areas for Environmental and Natural Heritage Conservation, divided in sub-zones; III - Zone C, Priority Areas of Conservation and Integral Protection Units; IV - Zone D, Areas of Sustainable Use Conservation Units; V - Zone E, Areas under Federal Administration.
