Abstract This Law establishes the right of citizens to the protection of public health. The Cabinet of Ministers shall have the following competence in the aforesaid sphere: (a) ensuring the right of citizens to the protection of public health; (b) implementation of the state policy; and (c) public information regarding natural disasters. Local self-government shall be responsible for environmental protection and ecological safety. Citizens shall be granted the right of access to information on sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the territory, rational feeding and compliance of commodities with sanitary and hygienic requirements.
