This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law establishes the basic environmental legislation within the State of Tocantins. It consists of 6 Parts specifying the environmental policy to be applied in the aforementioned State for the preservation, control and management of environment. It is divided as follows: Objectives of the environmental policy (Part 1); Environment protection including pollution control and waste disposal (2); Technical and Scientific assistance (3); Council for the Environmental Policy of the State of Tocantins (4); Offence and penalties (5); Final provisions (6).
