This Law enters into force from the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Act consists of 21 Articles. It establishes the legal basis for activity in the sphere of land survey and cartography. Objects of land surveying and cartographic activity are the national territory, continents of the terrestrial globe and World Ocean, including islands, outer space, including planets and the products of land surveying and cartographic activity. Land surveying and cartographic activity includes: (a) creation, renewal and editing of state topographic maps of inhabited settlements; (b) distant zoning of the Earth; (c) creation and keeping State cartographic and land surveying fund and state geographic information systems and cadastres; (d) mapping and demarcation of administrative boundaries; (i) zoning of the bottom of water bodies and water reservoirs. Special purpose land surveying and cartographic activity includes: (a) mapping for agroforestry; (b) land survey, drainage and land reclamation; (c) inventory.
