This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 6 articles, prohibiting of professional fishing in Guaporé River basin and establishing the baselines for regulating State fisheries sector. It specifies terms and conditions of such prohibition of professional fishing within the hydrographical basin of Guaporé River, its lakes and effluents (from the estuary of Cabixi River up to the estuary of São Miguel River), in order to protect aquatic biota, aquatic flora and fauna and preserve the ecological balance. This Law also lists down authorized specific fishing gear and methods.
