This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, composed of 6 articles, regulates fishing activities in Rio de Janeiro State inland water courses. In particular, it establishes that the fish spawning cycle, and prohibits fishing activity during the period from October 1 to 30 January in all water courses in the State of Rio de Janeiro to fish with the use of specific fishing methods or any toxic substance that facilitates the capture of fish. The Law compels the Government to regulate the implementation of this Law within 60 days.
