Abstract This Law, consisting of 5 Titles, establishes the State Water Policy and creates the Water Management System. This Policy aims at the following objectives: guaranteeing the necessary availability of water and (in quantity and quality) for all users within the State territory; promoting the compatibility between multiple uses of water resources for its sustainable use; promoting the prevention and protection against any risk originated by natural disaster or caused by a bad management of water resources; promoting the preservation, conservation and improvement of the quantity and quality of water.
