Abstract This Law outlines the basic provisions regarding the rights of the State in the search, research and exploitation of hydrocarbons, the ways of concession of such rights to third parties and regarding general relative subjects. Also the Law regulates the following issues: disposal of petroleum products in the Greek market; safety reserves of petroleum products; configuration of pricing policy of petroleum products; marketing of petroleum products and issuing of relevant authorisation; supply and special account for guaranteeing unimpeded supply of petroleum to problematic regions of the country.
