Abstract Article 11 shall acquire a new wording: “Article 11. Requirements for processing, trade and safety of salt. 1. Alimentary and fodder salt imported into, manufactured and (or) traded on the national territory shall be enriched with iodine except for: (a) salt destined for persons suffering from contra-indication; (b) salt destined for the manufacturing of some foodstuffs requiring the use of salt not enriched with iodine. The modalities of import, manufacturing and trade of salt not enriched with iodine shall be set by the authorized body. 2. The contents of iodine in salt, quality, safety thereof, and enrichment methods must comply with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. 3. Manufacturing, import and trade of salt not enriched with iodine shall be prohibited except for cases envisaged by sub-issues 1) and 2) and issue 1 of this Article. 4.
