Abstract This Law, consisting of 28 articles, provides for production, trade, transport, storage and use of pesticides, their components and related stuff in the State of Amapá. The State Agricultural and Livestock Protection and Inspection Agency (DIAGRO) and the State Secretariat of Environment and Health are responsible for supervising the compliance with state legislation regarding pesticides, household sanitizer products, disinfectants, waste, their components and the similar stuff within the State of Amapá. The Law establishes that only pesticides and related products already registered with the competent federal agency will be accepted in state territory for storage, commercialization and use. The commercialization, use, consumption and storage in the territory of the State, of any agrochemicals or related products, is conditioned to the registration of the product in the DIAGRO. Registration with DIAGRO will be valid for one year, and will be automatically canceled upon expiration at the equivalent federal agency, and may be revalidated for equal and successive periods. Household sanitizer products should be governed by rules established by the State Department of Health. The importer, producer or applicator of pesticides, must submit to the President of DIAGRA specific documents. Full text Portuguese Website www.al.ap.gov.br
