Abstract This Law establishes the prohibition of the sprayed application of pesticides containing the active ingredient fipronil within specified areas. The application of pesticides that contain the active ingredient fipronil in their composition must observe, at least, a distance of 5 km from places where beekeeping is carried out. In particular, the objectives of this Law are: I – reduce mortality and prevent the extermination of bees; II – prevent the effects of environmental adversities; and III – encourage beekeeping in a family or community unit.
