Abstract This Law, consisting of 5 Chapters and 1 Annex, establishes plant protection phytosanitary measures. This Law re-establishes within the State of Rondônia the norms established for plant protection phytosanitary measures, including necessary actions and activities aiming at preventing and avoiding the introduction and dissemination of plant pests and diseases, with the objective of guaranteeing and preserving the quality and safety of plant seeds, seedlings and any planting material, biological material and residues of economic value, through technical and administrative mandatory measures. The Plant Phytosanitary Protection is carried out by the Agency for Agro-silvopastoril Sanitary Protection of the State of Rondônia (IDARON). Offences and penalties to be paid for illegal activities are specified in the text.
