Abstract This Law establishes the legal, economic, social and organizational bases for tourism. Tourism resources shall be classified, appraised, protected and managed taking into consideration maximum allowable environmental impact, and tourism resources shall be restored in accordance with national legislation. The state shall regulate tourism through licensing, standardization and certification for the purpose of protecting the environment and cultural heritage. The relevant authorities shall establish areas in which tourism is prohibited. Tourists shall have the right to access information on natural monuments, protected areas and the state of environment, and shall have the duty to conserve the environment, natural monuments and objects of cultural heritage and to prevent environmental damage.
