Abstract This Law, as amended by Law No. 2.655, consisting of 12 articles, regulates the State Fund for Water Resources (FERH/TO) within the State of Tocantins, created by Law No. 1.307 and under the Secretariat of Water Resources and Environment. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Fund, entitled to financing the following sectors: plans, projects and research aiming at the development, conservation, the rational and sustainable use of water resources, both superficial and groundwater, according to the priorities of the State Policy on Water Resources; waterworks and service implementation, aiming at: preserving, improving and rehabilitating water resources quality standards within the State of Tocantins; programmes and researches, aiming at strengthening capacity development of human resources, technological development in waters sector, taxes for water resources use are prescribed according to art. 11 of Law 1.307, etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.soleis.adv.br
