Abstract This Law amends articles from 1 to 3 of Law No. 10.883 and Law No. 9.743 on the permanent protection of specific tree species, such as: Caryocar brasiliense, known as Pequi or "souari nut" and Tabebuia and Tecomam native tree species. Amendments deal with administrative and legal proceedings and establishes responsibilities for tree logger including necessary planting material, as established by law in order to guarantee the sustainability of these tree species.
